In a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi on Saturday, Jamal Ahmed Amer hailed the imposition of a ceasefire agreement on the genocidal Zionist regime, saying Yemen is monitoring the implementation of the truce.
He said the future actions of Yemen in support of the Palestinian people will depend on Israel’s commitment to implementing the ceasefire and completely halting the genocide against Palestinians.
The Yemeni minister also briefed Araqchi on the latest developments in Yemen and appreciated Iran's political and moral support for the Yemeni government and people in the face of the enemies’ acts of aggression.
For his part, Araqchi described the ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel as a result of the resilience of the people of Gaza and the support from the resistance front, including the honorable support of the Yemeni people for the oppressed people of Palestine.
He also highlighted Yemen's significant role in achieving this victory, adding that after 15 months of crimes and genocide, the Zionist regime failed to achieve its malicious goals and was forced to surrender to the will of the patient and resilient Palestinian people.
Araqchi also pointed to a recent visit the UN secretary general’s special envoy for Yemen paid to Tehran, describing discussions in this regard as beneficial and effective.
The foreign minister finally reaffirmed Iran's continued support for the Yemeni government and people, the ministry’s website reported.
