IRGC Navy Unveils Subterranean Base

In comments at the event, General Salami said the new complex is one of the numerous bases accommodating combat, missile-launching and minelayer vessels.

He said the new underground city reflects a small fraction of the IRGC Navy’s defense power.

Highlighting the considerable advances in the quality and quantity of the IRGC Navy’s assault systems, the commander said the combat vessels of the IRGC Navy have great navigation capabilities in oceans and are prepared to protect Iran’s vital interests.

He noted that the IRGC Navy has significantly increased the range and speed of its vessels and also the range, precision and destructive power of its naval missiles.

Last week, the IRGC Aerospace Force unveiled its newest underground “missile city”. The cache of projectiles stored in the facility included Emad, Qadr and Qiam missiles which run on liquid fuel.

The IRGC chief has said that Iran is constantly improving its missiles in terms of quantity, quality, and design.
