Italian Students Protest Leonardo's Israel Deal

Italian students protesting the brutal Israeli incursion into the Gaza Strip chanted slogans against Israeli occupiers and emphasized that Italian defence company Leonardo allegedly provides technical support and supplies components, effectively aiding the Israeli occupiers in their anti-Palestinian atrocities.

Italian Defence Minister, Guido Crosetto, who last March stressed the continuation of arms exports to Israel, condemned the actions of Italian youths on the X social media platform, labeling them as dangerous.

The Italian Defence Minister's remarks come as the Italian government last year announced it would decide on halting arms supplies to Israel in light of the regime's continued aggression against the Gaza Strip.

Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli regime, with the support of the United States and some Western countries, has launched a widespread massacre in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank against defenseless and oppressed Palestinian civilians.
