Iran Pledges to Step Up Support for Hezbollah
The top Iranian diplomat paid a visit to the office of Lebanon’s Hezbollah in Tehran on Monday to offer his condolences on the martyrdom of Nasrallah in a recent Israeli strike on Beirut.

In talks with Hezbollah representative Abdullah Safiuddin, Araqchi strongly condemned the terrorist crime by the Israeli regime, emphasizing that the Zionist regime will not achieve its sinister and vicious objectives in Palestine and the region by committing such crimes and assassinating the resistance leaders.

“Instead, the pure blood of Martyr Nasrallah and all the martyrs of the resistance heralds the realization of the divine promise of victory for the fighters in the path of God over the oppressors,” he stated, the Foreign Ministry’s website reported.

Araqchi also drew a parallel between Hezbollah’s position and power at present and the time when the movement’s late secretary general Seyed Abbas al-Musawi was martyred, noting, “We believe, by the blessing of Martyr Nasrallah’s blood, the tall tree of resistance will become even stronger in the future, and the final victory belongs to the resistance and the people in the region.”

He also underscored that Iran will continue and even step up its support for the resistance of the Lebanese people in confronting the Zionist regime’s threats.

For his part, Safiuddin expressed his gratitude to Araqchi for the visit and condolences.

He appreciated Iran for its principled and firm stance and support as well as the support by the Iranian Leader, president, government, and nation for the Lebanese people and resistance at this sensitive and decisive juncture.

He further underlined that the glowing path of the martyred secretary general of Hezbollah in fighting against the Zionist regime and defending and supporting the oppressed people of Palestine will continue with full force.
