Dozens Killed in Gaza, West Bank as Israeli Soldiers Push Bodies from Roof

Footage has emerged from the occupied West Bank town of Qabatiya showing Israeli soldiers pushing dead bodies off a roof following a raid on Thursday that killed at least five Palestinians.

“This is a serious incident that is not in line with (Israeli military) values ​​and what is expected of (Israeli military) soldiers,” the Israeli military said in a statement.

The Israeli military claims it killed four Palestinian gunmen during the clashes, while it carried out a drone strike against several more alleged gunmen in a car.

The Israeli military also opened fire on a group of journalists filming the incursion from a nearby building, Al Jazeera reported.

Palestinian officials have expressed outrage after the video captured Israeli soldiers kicking a dead body off a rooftop in the occupied West Bank town of Qabatiya.

In a post on X, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the act as a “crime” that exposes the Israeli army’s “brutality”.

Palestinian Ambassador to the UK, Husam Zumlot, said the incident makes a mockery of the Israeli army’s claims of “self-defense”.

At least 41,272 people have been killed and 95,551 wounded in Israel’s war on Gaza since October 2023.
