Speaking with Iran Press, Abbasi strongly condemned the "genocide of Palestinians" by Israeli forces. "Unfortunately, Muslim governments have not shown the resolve needed. They must unify and act together. This isn't just about Muslims being massacred in Gaza—this is a human rights issue," he stated.

Abbasi emphasized that the current situation mirrors previous tragedies like the Bosnian genocide, where the global Muslim community remained largely silent. "Muslim countries need to speak with one voice. It's striking that non-Muslim nations are speaking out more forcefully than many in the Muslim world. This issue is not about foreign interests or diplomacy—it's about the systematic killing of civilians, hospitals being attacked, and the deaths of over 40,000 people," he added.

In light of Unity Week, which promotes solidarity among Muslim nations, Abbasi called for an urgent summit to address the crisis. "The best way to observe Unity Week is to demonstrate unity. There should be a summit of all Muslim countries, and we should also invite non-Muslim nations willing to stand with us. The situation in Gaza must be resolved; nearly a year has passed, and people are still being killed, with children and hospitals coming under attack."

Abbasi’s remarks echo growing calls for Muslim-majority nations to step up their diplomatic and humanitarian efforts in the face of the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
