Adelson, a billionaire Zionist casino owner and Republican party funder, and Netanyahu pressured Trump into pulling out of the of the Iran nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), James Fetzer, a prominent American political philosopher said.
“What is outrageous is that Trump pulled out of the Iran nuclear deal for no good reason,” Fetzer said.
US intelligence services -- on several occasions -- including Israeli Mossad had confirmed that the Iranian government was not in pursuit of developing nuclear weapons, the scholar said.
Knowing these facts, former Secretary of State John Kerry wanted to salvage what he could of the deal closed during the tenure of former President Barack Obama.
Kerry, who played a major role in the deal, strongly criticized Trump for pulling out of the internationally-approved agreement.
The former Massachusetts senator’s criticism of Trump's "ill-advised" pull out from the Iran nuclear deal evoked anger from the Trump administration's top diplomat.
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo criticized Kerry for what he described as the former foreign secretary's "unseemly and unprecedented" talks with Iranian diplomats, while others lauded him for his continued diplomatic efforts.
“Kerry wanted to salvage remnants of what may have been the most important foreign policy accomplishment of the Obama administration,” Fetzer said.
Fetzer, who had once supported Trump on empty promises of bringing US troops stationed outside the country back home, said that Kerry was “right” and Trump and his hawkish administration, who pursued outrageous perpetuous global confrontations, were ”wrong”.
