Islam Times - Ukrainian President Vladimir Zielinski said his telephone conversation with his US counterpart Donald Trump last July was "good and natural," denying that he had been subjected to any pressure.
At a joint news conference on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, Zilinski stressed: "We had a good and normal conversation, No one is being pressured."
"All of you have read everything yourself," the Ukrainian president said, referring to the July conversation released by the White House earlier, expressing his willingness not to comment on negotiations with Trump and to interfere in the US democratic election process.
The US Justice Department earlier published the content of the telephone conversation between US President Donald Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart, Vladimir Zilinsky, which triggered the study of the dismissal of the White House master.
The July 25, 2019 telephone conversation between the two presidents indicated that Trump had asked Zelensky to look into the case of Hunter Biden, son of former US Vice President Joe Biden, but did not link the issue to US aid to Ukraine.
The conversation between Trump and Zelensky sparked an uproar in the United States after local media reported that the US president was trying to get his Ukrainian counterpart to launch an investigation against Hunter Biden and threatened to withhold aid from Washington to Kiev, Biden is seen as a key contender for current master of the White House in the 2020 presidential election.
