Islam Times - A 17-year-old Palestinian was among 10 people martyred in an Israeli drone attack in the occupied West Bank town of Tammun on Wednesday night, a child rights organization said.
Defence for Children International (DCI) – Palestine identified the teenager as Jihad Nasser Yousef Bani Matar, stating he was taken to the hospital with "shrapnel wounds and burns all over his body" following the strike, which came without warning.
DCI noted that no Israeli ground forces were present in Tammun at the time and accused Israel of increasingly carrying out airstrikes "in densely populated areas with no regard for Palestinian children’s lives."
With this latest killing, the number of Palestinian children killed in the occupied West Bank this year has risen to 10, according to the organization. It said six were killed in drone attacks, while four were fatally shot by Israeli forces.
“No one has been held responsible for killing these ten children,” DCI added.
Clashes and Raids Across West Bank
The Israeli military continued its operations in the occupied West Bank overnight, including an attack on a besieged house in al-Yamoun, west of Jenin.
The Al-Quds Brigades – Jenin Battalion, the armed wing of Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), claimed it engaged Israeli forces in al-Yamoun, detonating "pre-prepared explosive devices" targeting Israeli military vehicles, reporting "confirmed casualties."
PIJ also said its fighters confronted Israeli forces in Tulkarem, claiming additional casualties.
Meanwhile, Palestinian fighters targeted Israeli troops storming Silat al-Harithiya, northwest of Jenin, with an explosive device, according to Al Jazeera Arabic. No casualties have been reported.
Israeli forces have also been demolishing buildings in the Jenin refugee camp, Al Jazeera Arabic reported.
In Tulkarem, the Al-Quds Brigades – Tulkarem Battalion said it clashed with an Israeli infantry unit in the city’s southern neighborhood, again claiming "confirmed casualties."
The Israeli army's assault on Jenin continued, with a bombing that injured three women earlier in the night, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent.
The Quds News Network and the Palestinian Information Center reported that an Israeli drone bombed a besieged house in al-Yamoun.
For weeks, the Israeli military has been conducting a large-scale operation in the Jenin governorate, expanding its campaign into Tulkarem.
In Tulkarem, Israeli forces are now reportedly besieging Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital, the Quds News Network said.
