Islam Times - Yemen’s military has announced a successful attack on the US aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman in the Red Sea, marking the eighth such operation against the vessel.
"In a joint operation, we targeted the American aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman and several warships in the northern Red Sea," the spokesperson for Yemen’s Armed Forces, Yahya Saree stated.
"This operation involved several drones and cruise missiles, and with the grace and help of God, it was successfully accomplished," he added.
The statement highlighted that this marks the eighth strike on the aircraft carrier since its arrival in the Red Sea.
On Saturday evening, Yemen’s military also reported a ballistic missile strike on Israel’s war ministry using the Zulfiqar missile.
Saree further appeared on television to announce a new missile attack targeting the occupied city of Eilat.
The Yemeni Army has issued warnings to the enemies regarding repercussions for any aggression during the ongoing ceasefire in Gaza.
"We caution hostile forces in the Red Sea against any incursion into our territory during the ceasefire period in Gaza," the statement emphasized.
Yemen's Armed Forces vowed to respond uniquely and decisively to any violations.
Mohammed al-Bukhiti, a member of Ansarullah's Political Bureau, reiterated Yemen's readiness for future confrontations and its commitment to supporting Palestine.
"The operations against the Zionist regime will cease only if their aggression on Gaza stops," he declared.
Al-Bukhiti also noted that Yemen’s efforts had impacted Israel militarily and economically, undermining the power of both the Israeli regime and its US ally.
He accused Israel of stalling on agreements, stating, "The Zionist regime is playing for time in implementing agreements, but we will not allow them to continue undermining the terms of the truce."
Al-Bukhiti affirmed that Yemen’s military operations would continue, in coordination with the resistance, if Israel violated the ceasefire.
Israeli forces carried out several attacks across Gaza, as a ceasefire with Hamas is set to begin, striking Gaza City in the north, Deir el-Balah and Nuseirat in the center, and Rafah and Khan Younis in the south. There were no immediate reports of casualties.
Displaced Palestinians in Gaza are packing what’s left of their belongings in the hope of returning to their neighborhoods when the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas begins at 08:30am local time (06:30 GMT) today.
Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened the truce could be temporary, saying he has the backing of the current and incoming US administrations to resume fighting in Gaza if negotiations for a second phase do not go according to plan.
