Pakistan Court Sentences Ex-PM Imran Khan to 14 Years in Graft Case

Islam Times - A Pakistani court sentenced former Prime Minister Imran Khan to 14 years in prison on Friday for his involvement in a land corruption case, according to local broadcaster ARY News.


The ruling, delivered by an anti-graft court at a prison in Rawalpindi, marks the largest case of financial wrongdoing Khan has faced.

The ex-premier has been incarcerated in the garrison city since August 2023.

Khan, 72, was removed from office in 2022 and has faced mounting legal challenges since.

He currently faces charges in more than 150 criminal cases, significantly affecting his political career and standing in Pakistan’s tumultuous political landscape.
