Islam Times - Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, a senior member of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, has condemned the “US terrorist attacks” on Yemen, stating that such actions will not deter support for the Palestinian people in Gaza.
In a statement on Sunday, al-Houthi said the United States has been aiding Israel's ongoing genocide in Gaza, labeling the strikes on Yemen as part of a broader strategy to support the Israeli regime's genocide in Gaza.
Al-Houthi further commented on regional military dynamics, stating on Saturday that Israel’s reliance on advanced defense systems like the Arrow Missile Defense System does not guarantee its security. “The expansion of our power and capabilities continues, while American, European, and Israeli defense systems fail,” he declared.
In a related development, the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed an accidental incident involving one of its fighter jets over the Red Sea. According to a CENTCOM statement, an F/A-18 Hornet fighter jet launched from the USS Harry S. Truman was mistakenly shot down by the guided missile cruiser USS Gettysburg, which was escorting the aircraft carrier.
The incident, described as a case of “friendly fire,” is under investigation.
