US, Israel Behind Syria Developments: Ayatollah Khamenei
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution delivered a speech regarding the regional developments in a meeting with thousands of people on Wednesday morning. The meeting was held at Imam Khomeini Hussainiya in Tehran.

Referring to the recent developments in Syria, Ayatollah Khamenei stressed that it should not be doubted that what happened in Syria is the product of a joint American and Zionist plan.

"Yes, a neighboring government of Syria has played an obvious role in this regard and is still playing it now, everyone can see this," he said, adding that but the main agent and the main conspirator are the US and the Zionist regime.

The occupied areas of Syria will be liberated by the zealous Syrian youth; Do not doubt that this will happen, he added.

“Each of these attackers has their own agenda and their goals are different, he said, adding that some of them are seeking to seize land in the north of Syria or in the south.

"The US is looking to strengthen its foothold in the region," he further cited, underlining that God willing, none of them will achieve these goals.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the Leader underlined that the Resistance Front with become stronger and more motivated in hard situations.

"Iran is strong and powerful and will become more powerful," he emphasized.

The Leader also revealed that top officials of the armed forces and military organizations had written to him, pleading to go to Lebanon because they could not bear what was happening to the country and Hezbollah.

said Iran had made all preparations to assist Syria, but the US and the Israeli regime closed all air and land routes to the country.

The Syrian government fell early Sunday in a stunning end to President Bashar al-Assad’s 24-year rule over the Arab country after the Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) terrorist group stormed and captured the capital Damascus.
