Qatar Condemns Israeli Incursion into Syria
“It is unacceptable for Israel to exploit the current situation in Syria and violate its sovereignty,” al-Ansari said.

Qatar “strongly condemned” the incursion along the Syrian border, warning that such actions would escalate regional tensions.

“This will lead the region into more problems,” al-Ansari stressed.

The Persian Gulf state urged the international community to uphold international law and take urgent action to address the situation.

“We have international conventions, we have sovereignty and the unity of the Syrian territories,” al-Ansari said.

“No one is allowed, under any circumstances, including the Israeli occupation, to seize opportunities to occupy … Syrian territories,” he added.

Al-Ansari emphasized that Israel’s actions amounted to clear “violations committed by Israel against the territories of Syria.”

On Qatar’s role following the departure of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, al-Ansari stated, “Any role, positive role, could be played by Qatar, we will delightfully do it.”

He reiterated Qatar’s commitment to supporting the Syrian people to achieve their aspirations under international law.

Al-Ansari also confirmed that Qatar has been in communication with HTS (Hayat Tahrir al-Sham) militia group over the past 48 hours.

Reflecting on the current developments, al-Ansari described the moment as historic for the region.

“The Syrian people today are having a chance to achieve their aspirations and express the sacrifices that have been offered to reach their freedom,” he said.

“It is a chance now to have a nation for everyone and a nation that will achieve the aspirations of all the categories of the Syrian people,” he added.

Al-Ansari called on all Syrian parties to unite and preserve the country’s territorial integrity.

“We call on all the parties in Syria to work together in order to keep the unity and independence,” he said.
