Islam Times - Foreign Minister Boards Iranian Warship

Islam Times - Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi boarded a warship of Iran’s Navy in the Persian Gulf on Sunday.

The top Iranian diplomat, accompanied by a number of officials, boarded the Navy’s Zereh (Shield) warship in the southern waters on Sunday.

He attended a ceremony on the southern island of Kish in commemoration of the Iranian Navy Day.

In comments at the event, Araqchi said he is proud, as a diplomat, that the country’s national power relies upon defense and military capabilities.

Highlighting Iran’s naval power in the Persian Gulf and the Caspian Sea, the foreign minister appreciated the military forces for protecting Iran’s security in the current circumstances and amid the volatile political situation in the region and the world.
