Islam Times - Hezbollah conducted large-scale missile and drone attacks on Israeli positions, including deep within the occupied territories.
The Lebanese resistance movement intensified its operations against Israel on Sunday night, targeting strategic military sites and settlements.
The resistance group launched a missile barrage on the Haifa Naval Base, with additional strikes hitting Israeli military installations in Mishar, Shraga, and Doviv.
Hezbollah said it destroyed six Merkava tanks across multiple fronts, including Deir Mimas and Bayyada.
In a coordinated offensive, nearly a dozen Israeli settlements, such as Yir’on, Kfar Blum, and Sasa, were also struck, alongside gatherings of Israeli forces.
Earlier in the day, hundreds of rockets targeted various areas in northern occupied territories, reaching as far as Tel Aviv.
The attacks prompted Israeli settlers to seek shelter, marking a significant escalation.
Israeli media described the strikes as unprecedented in scale since last October.
Reports indicated injuries in Petah Tikva, east of Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Nahariya, with explosions also reported in central Tel Aviv from rockets fired from Lebanon.
Israel has been carrying out attacks in Lebanon since October 2023, coinciding with its military campaign in Gaza.
In response, Hezbollah has launched numerous retaliatory strikes on Israeli positions in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The conflict has seen heightened violence since late September, with Israel escalating strikes and assassinating key Hezbollah figures, including its leader, Seyed Hassan Nasrallah.
According to Lebanon's health ministry, Israeli attacks have killed at least 3,600 people and injured 15,400 others since the clashes began last year.
The resistance movement has vowed to continue its operations as long as Israel's Gaza offensive persists.
The ongoing genocidal war in Gaza has so far claimed the lives of at least 44,000 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, according to local reports.
