The Malaysian side expressed strong interest in Iran's innovations and products in cybersecurity and has extended a formal invitation for Iranian cybersecurity firms to participate in Malaysia’s upcoming global exhibition.
This platform is expected to provide marketing and sales opportunities for Iranian products in international markets.
The agreement outlines several initiatives:
1. Cybersecurity Assessments and Training: Iranian products and services will be evaluated according to international standards. The two countries will establish advanced cybersecurity training programs, offering internationally recognized certificates.
2. Specialist Training and Iranian Companies in Malaysia: Part of the agreement includes the training of cybersecurity professionals led by Iranian experts. Additionally, several Iranian companies will establish a presence in Malaysia to develop new products under joint research projects.
Iran's Science Counselor in Malaysia described the agreement as a significant step towards expanding international collaboration in cybersecurity. Additionally, agreements with universities such as the University of Malaya (UM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), and Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) include student and faculty exchanges, educational programs, and research initiatives.
Behrouz Tork Ladani from the University of Isfahan stated that Iran and Malaysia will offer joint degree programs in fields like artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and software engineering. Through these programs, students will study in both countries and receive accredited degrees from both universities.
A delegation of 40 Iranian students and 15 professors is also visiting Malaysia to participate in the second session of the Iran-Malaysia international seasonal school, aiming to train global leaders for tackling international challenges. Iranian academic and corporate representatives are hopeful that this agreement will pave the way for Iranian knowledge-based products to gain a solid foothold in Malaysia and reach larger international markets through this collaborative framework.
