Islam Times - The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry emphasized that Tehran will employ all of its physical and intellectual assets to respond to the Zionist regime’s acts of aggression.

In response to the claims that Iran responded to the Zionist regime from Iraqi territory, Baqaei said: "Protection of countries' territories is a principle." Our patterns for responding to the regime are clear and we use all material and spiritual facilities to respond to the regime. Regarding the President's statement regarding Iran's response to the regime and the ceasefire agreement, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: Our reaction will be decisive against any aggression. What we have stated is that the main problem is the genocide in Palestine and continued aggression in Lebanon, and as long as it exists, the region is on the brink of war. We supported initiatives to stop crime.

Asked about media reports that Iran has plans to launch an attack from Iraqi soil against Israel in response to the Zionist regime’s October 26 strike, Esmaeil Baqaei announced at a press conference on Monday that Iran has definite patterns of response to the Israeli regime.

“We would employ all of physical and intellectual capabilities to respond to the Zionist regime,” he said.

Asked about the recent comments from Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian that a possible ceasefire in Gaza may affect the type and severity of Iran’s response, Baqaei said, “Our reaction to any act of aggression will be decisive.”

Iran believes that the overriding problem is the Israeli genocidal crimes in Palestine and its onslaught on Lebanon, the spokesman said, adding that the region will stay on the brink of war as long as the Zionist aggression exists.

Baqaei added that Iran has always welcomed initiatives for the cessation of Israeli crimes in Gaza and Lebanon.

In the early hours of October 26, the Zionist regime attacked a number of military sites in Iran, which resulted in the martyrdom of four servicemen and a civilian.

In remarks on October 27, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei emphasized the necessity of disrupting the flawed calculations of the Zionist regime regarding Iran.

"They’re making a miscalculation with respect to Iran… our officials should be the ones to assess and precisely apprehend what needs to be done and do whatever is in the best interests of this country and nation. They (the enemy) must be made to realize who the Iranian people are and what the Iranian youth are like," the Leader added.
