Rockets Strike US Military Base in Eastern Syria
Six rockets were launched at the US base in the Deir ez-Zur region, with four successfully hitting targets within the military facility, a local source told al-Mayadeen. The rockets reportedly struck the radar station inside the base, causing loud explosions.

Shortly after the attack, US forces launched airstrikes on seven villages east of the Euphrates River, under Syrian government control. The targeted villages included Hatla, Marat, Khasham, and areas near Huwaijat Saker and Huwaijat al-Muray'iya.

The strikes follow a series of attacks on US military installations in Iraq and Syria by Iraqi resistance forces, driven by rising anti-US sentiment over Washington's support for Israel amid the regime’s genocidal war in Gaza.

The United States has approximately 2,500 troops in Iraq and 900 in Syria, claiming their presence is aimed at combatting Daesh (ISIL or ISIS), despite the group’s defeat by regional forces in 2017.

The attack on the Conoco base came shortly after US forces carried out an airborne operation in the village of Shanina, located in northern Raqqah Province. The raid resulted in the deaths of four Syrian ranchers and injuries to a woman, according to reports.

The Syrian government has repeatedly condemned US military operations and airstrikes in its territory, with Damascus urging the United Nations to intervene and end violations of its sovereignty.
