Islam Times - Lebanon's Hezbollah resistance movement launched a series of retaliatory strikes on Saturday, including a kamikaze drone attack near Tel Aviv, in response to ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza and Lebanon.
Hezbollah announced on Saturday that it had launched a kamikaze drone strike targeting the outskirts of Tel Aviv in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The resistance group stated that the attack was carried out "in support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and their brave and honorable resistance, as well as in defense of Lebanon and its people."
Since last October, Hezbollah has carried out hundreds of such strikes in response to a "genocidal war" by Israel in Gaza, which has also resulted in escalating attacks against Lebanon.
The Israeli war has led to the deaths of more than 42,000 Palestinians and over 2,000 Lebanese.
On the same day, Hezbollah also reported targeting the Israeli airbase at Kiryat Eliezer near Haifa, the Ein Margaliot military base, a communications base in Keren Naftali, the vicinity of the Ramim site, the Zevulun Military Industrial Base, the Maale Golani barracks, and the Houma base in the Golan Heights.
The strikes involved rocket barrages, drone squadrons, and artillery fire.
The group also reported attacks on Israeli military gatherings at Keren Naftali, Misgav Am, Kfar Giladi, Manara, Khirbet Nafha, and Kfar Giladi settlements.
A Hezbollah statement said that its fighters targeted an Israeli infantry force attempting to cross into Lebanon from the Ramia area with a guided missile, resulting in casualties.
Additionally, a gathering of Israeli troops near the village of al-Marj in eastern Lebanon was hit by rocket fire.
Later, the group said it launched a rocket barrage at a position in the Mi'ilya council area within the occupied territories.
Hezbollah has vowed to continue its operations until Israel ends its military operations in Gaza and Lebanon.
In response to the strikes, the Israeli military has declared several northern settlements, including Zarit, Shoumera, Shtula, Netua, and Even Menachem, as "closed military zones," restricting access.
This follows similar measures in the towns of Metulla and the Misgav Am and Kfar Giladi settlements.
