Saudi Cleric Urges Global Action against Israeli Atrocities in Gaza

He highlighted the inconsistency in how various nations approach the issue of Palestine, pointing out that many countries have adopted double standards.

"The legitimate rights of the Palestinian people must be realized," Sarhan said, stressing the importance of upholding international laws and regulations.

Sarhan also underscored the significance of Islamic unity, noting that the Muslim Ummah has presented Islamic civilization as a model for humanity.

He called on Muslim countries to come together, in accordance with Islamic teachings, as brothers. He added that by following a balanced and reasonable approach, Muslim nations can work towards building a shared civilization.

"Expanding relations based on mutual respect must be prioritized," he noted.

Separately, Sarhan reiterated his call for international efforts to prevent the genocide of Palestinians and to force Israel to cease its military operations and comply with international laws.

In his remarks, delivered during the conference's opening ceremony, Sarhan conveyed the greetings of the Secretary General of the Muslim World League to Iranian officials and participants, and expressed hope for the success of the event.

Sarhan praised Islam as a source of pride and stated, "God has honored us by allowing us to follow the religion of Islam and be part of the Islamic Ummah."

He emphasized the importance of unity among Muslims as commanded in the Quran, urging the community to adhere to God's guidance: "Indeed, the believers are brothers, so reconcile between your brothers."

Sarhan stressed that Islamic unity cannot be achieved without practical cooperation and compromise among Muslims. "We must work diligently, both in thought and action, to ensure unity," he said.

The cleric also highlighted the role of dialogue in promoting unity, noting that the Muslim World League has introduced a document aimed at building bridges between different Islamic sects. This document, Sarhan explained, was distributed to Muslims of various backgrounds from the holy site of the Kaaba.

He concluded by stressing the importance of mutual respect among Muslims, despite their differences, and affirmed that they share common fundamental principles.

Sarhan also drew attention to the tragedies unfolding in the occupied Palestinian territories and Gaza, calling it a stain on the conscience of humanity.
